Life brings many unexpected changes. If you’ve had a vasectomy at a time in your life when you thought you no longer wanted children, but things changed, you need to talk to your doctor in Hawkesbury about vasectomy reversal. A vasectomy doesn’t stop the body from producing sperm, it just blocks the sperm from entering the semen. A vasovasostomy is a medical procedure that restores the sperm to the semen, giving you and your partner the opportunity to have children.
A vasectomy reversal is performed without general anesthesia and is an outpatient procedure. Most patients are in and out in one day. The surgeon makes a tiny incision in the scrotum to reconnect the ends of the vas deferens to make a pathway for the sperm. The doctor will test the fluid coming from the testis during the procedure to make sure spermatozoids are present.
Vasectomy reversal rates vary. The most important factor is how long it has been since the vasectomy. Dr. Bercier’s office has a high success rate.
Make an appointment to consult with Dr. Bercier about a vasectomy reversal. You can fill up the application online and we will call you to schedule an appointment.
Dear Patients,
Due to the Canada Post strike, you will not be able to mail your post-vasectomy test until the situation is resolved. That being said, Dynacare, the lab that processes these semen analyses, has offered their assistance to address the issue.
You can drop off your sample in the envelope—just as you would if mailing it—at any of their locations with the label Attention: Problem Solvers. Dynacare has multiple locations in Ontario and Quebec. You can find their locations on their website: https://www.dynacare.ca/find-a-location.aspx.
Your sample will then be sent to the main lab for analysis.
Thank you for your understanding.
