Dr. Jean-Philippe Bercier BSc, MD, CCFP
Dr. Bercier has worked as a family doctor in Hawkesbury as well as a hospital doctor and obstetrician at the Hawkesbury General Hospital since 2012.
He attended the University of Ottawa, where he first got a bachelor of biochemistry in 2006 before pursuing his medical studies. He earned his doctorate, with honours, in 2010.
In 2015, Dr. Bercier decided to train to perform no-needle, no-scalpel vasectomies with Dr. Doug Stein, a world-renowned certified urologist working in Tampa Bay, Florida. Since completing his training, Dr. Bercier has done thousands of vasectomies in three different clinics in Ottawa, Hawkesbury and Montréal.
In 2019, Dr. Bercier received another training with Dr. Stein to learn about adopting the vasovasostomy procedure in an office setting.
Originally from St-Isidore in Eastern Ontario, Dr. Bercier loves sports and travel.
